The matrix for the production of a carrier, coated with a liquid plastics, is composed of a layer (1) of a hydrophobic plastics material and a carrier layer (2). The outer surface (3), with microscopic recesses, has a gloss grade of =2.2 with light striking it at an angle of 60[deg]. The carrier layer can be a textile material e.g. woven, nonwoven or knitted, or leather, paper or metal.
