A paving slab for ornamental paving has a basic square module with a number of sections separated by vertical slots extending the full thickness of the slab. Two opposite corner sections (1a, 9a) have inner convex edge profiles. One corner section (1a) has a circular quadrant profile while the opposite corner (9a) has a shaped profile. Two lines of connecting sections (2a to 8a) are arranged with two separating grooves concentric to the outer corner of the quadrant section. Different patterns are obtained by laying the slabs in different orientations. The slabs can be laid closed spaced, with closed grooves, or wider spaced with wide grooves.
