The seal (1) for high temperatures consists of glass or ceramic fibers, especially of an elastic strand of glass or ceramic fibers. At least one longitudinal through-stitching by a non-glass thread is carried out on the surface of the seal by which the flat form is achieved. A double sided adhesive band is glued onto the seal.
