The hand-held shower has a housing with water outlet with perforated part (7), intake, hand grips, and a flexible feed hose. It also has an outlet (8) to give a gush-type water flow, and can be switched by a grip (6b) between normal shower and gush-type use. The cylindrical housing is closed at one end and has an aperture and an internal cylinder (6) with perforated part and connected gush-type outlet. When the cylinder is rotated, the aperture is sealed by seal part or layer, against water flow except for flow through one or other of the outlets.
