The plant stone blank (1) comprises at least two plant stones (3.1,3.2) between which is at least one material bridge (2) connecting the plant stones into the one-piece blank. After separation of the plant stones along the material bridge at least one rough quarry face side is formed on the outer wall (4) of the split off plant stones. The two plant stones in the blank adjoin one another perpendicularly or approximately so to their middle symmetry planes (TA1,TA2).
