The device is a splaying device that is inserted into a rung of a ladder and braced in the rung by a screw connection, where the rung is made from hollow sections. Racks (6.1) are assembled on both sides of the ladder. The screw connection fixes a bearing formed from two conical parts of a split boss. The racks are fastened and locked on a T-piece (4) or an angle piece (5).
