A speed module (revs setter) for continuous speed adjustment of DC motors in which the speed module is fitted with a circuit arrangement as well as an evaluation software for detecting blocking./locking of the DC motors, in which the detection results independently of the installed- or connected-load and the instantaneous power uptake of the motor, and for detecting blocking/locking, the generator voltage of the motor is measured.
