Mobile wheel set maintenance and servicing unit, moved into cavity below train on own rail

The area used for servicing trains and locomotives is provided with a cavity (5) slightly bigger than the dimensions of the mobile maintenance (1) and servicing units (12) and a rail (6) for moving the units (1, 12) under the rails (4) holding the vehicles. Parts of the upper rail (7, 8, 9) can be swiveled to the side for particular operations. The unit (1) is supported by columns (10) inserted between the bottom of the cavity (5) and the unit (1). A shavings removal device (15) is also integrated in the system.
