The jacking unit for the lifting of loads has a piston and cylinder unit, a pump unit, and a hydraulic reservoir for hydraulic medium. The pump unit has a drive motor which is in rotational communication with a swashplate (8) which is connected to a pump push rod (9) which via a suction valve (10) is connected to the hydraulic reservoir (12) and a via a pressure valve (13) is connected to the piston and cylinder unit (14-17). The shaft (7) of the swashplate is located close to and axially parallel to the drive shaft (4) of the motor.
