The joint element can be made of wood, metal, glass, stone, or plastic and is assembled of two parts. One of the parts is provided with a dovetail projection and can be fixed to a component with nails or screws. The other part has a dovetail-shaped recess and is accommodated in a space at a second component. Both components can be simply connected by joining dovetail with recess.
