An easy-start circuit for a single-phase brushless DC motor comprises an oscillating pulse generator and a Hall-IC to sense the rotor (1) polarity. The pulse is sent to the stator (3) if no polarity signal is detected so that the rotor can swing from a dead start angle and release the Hall- IC and let the motor begin a smooth rotation.
