The backflow stopper (1) for various valves is fitted in a side port (4) of the valve and allows flow in only one direction which is usually outwards. The backflow stopper consists of a cylindrical hollow shut-off component of elastomer material and on one end has a point with two lips (5) one above the other in crescent form, forming a recess which allows the opening of the lips in only one direction.
