The ski has a hide strip (11) as goal kicking or hill climbing aid and pasted on a contact surface (10). An end of a covering plate (13) is provided at a ski vertex side end (12) of the strip. The plate is affixed on the strip, and a free end of the plate protrudes over the ski vertex side end. The plate is made up of metal or plastic and has a larger radius of curvature at the area of the free end than in the remaining area.
