The tire heating system for a roller or wheel comprises a piezoelectric element in or on the elastic tire for the electrical supply to electric heater. The electric heater is installed especially in or beneath the running surface of the tire. The piezoelectric element is curved in shape and especially in circular arc form. The tire may have at least two piezoelectric elements arranged on a circle around the rolling axis, or one piezoelectric element in ring form. The electric heater may have one or more heating elements, especially resistance wires. An independent claim is also included for a tire damage identification device to register damage to the heating elements in the tire.
