The drinking cup (01) is of a suitable design and made of an appropriate heat resistant material. A cylindrical or rectangular perforated container (3) filled with tea leaves (8) is attached to the lower surface of the lid (02) by engaging the flanged upper edges (07) with rails (09) located at the lower surface of the lid (02). After brewing the lid (02) is lifted and the container (03) can be slid off into a waste bin without being touched by the fingers of the user.
