The disk has a material, whose absorption behavior limits view of a wearer in such a manner that the view corresponds to visibilities in case of fire. The disk is attachable at a rubber seal into which an inspection glass of a protection mask is embedded. The disk is provided with a light weakening coating and is elastically deformable. Fastening units (4, 6) are provided for fastening at the protection mask body.
