The housing (1) has a housing body (2) with two housing parts (3,4) that can be assembled together, a cable leadthrough in the joint area and a cable gland (6) reversibly attached to the housing near the leadthrough. An attachment device provided on the cable gland can be brought into engagement with only one housing part and holds the gland fixed to the part when the parts are separated.
