The swimming pool cover comprises a plastic air cushion film (6), a winding shaft (2) with an electric motor and a draw rope or cord. The system is installed beneath the indoor pool ceiling (1), partially or completely inside it. The roll up start of the air cushion film is fastened horizontally to a metal/plastic rail by pull ropes or pull cords which, bridging room height, are connected to the electric winding shaft. The winding roller has equispaced guide grooves to accommodate the pull rope or cord.
