The metal pail has a generated surface (12) formed from a metal ring rising from a bottom (18), and a handle (40). The metal ring forming the generated surface is converted into a support ring (32) installed on the outer side of the generated surface and connected in one piece to the upper edge (16) of the generated surface. The handle is mounted on the support ring to pivot around a pivot point. The support ring by a skirt supporting the handle extends over a section of the generated surface in the direction of the bottom.
