The axle system has a spring bellows (2) supported on the underside of the trailer, frame bearer 1, and an axle connecting rod (3) extending from the underside of the spring bellows to a connecting rod holding device (4) under the trailer. One end (16) of the connecting rod is pivoted to the holding device. There is an axle body (6) connected to the connecting rod between the bellows and the holding device. In its two end regions, this body carries a the brake disc of a hydraulic or pneumatic disc brake unit.
