The bottles (10) arrive in contact with each other on an input linear conveyer (8). A screw (7) of gradually increasing pitch separates the bottles, which are then removed from the conveyer by a star wheel (5) and placed on a transporter wheel (1). This wheel moves the bottles past three labeling stations (2- 4). The labeled bottles are removed from the transporter wheel by an output star wheel (6) and placed back on the linear conveyer. Each piece of machinery has its own three-phase AC motor (M1-M8), running off the same frequency converter (18), connected to an AC supply (20) via a safety circuit (19). The frequency converter receives signals from a control circuit (21).
