In a process to test the washing, cleaning and drying characteristics of a textile, a test sample (1) is a two or three-dimensional unit which shrinks, loses weight or volume when exposed to these processes. The test sample consists of two or more panels joined by sewn seams at the outer margin. The textile sample is further subdivided into zones by colored threads.
