PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the vibration and the noise of a retaining member of a stencil sheet start end mounting device for mounting the start end of a stencil sheet at a plate cylinder of a stencil rotary press in the case of pivotally driving the member from a closed position to an open position. ;SOLUTION: In the stencil sheet start end mounting device 12 having a pivotally driving opening/closing retaining member 76, a retaining member 76 is pivotally movably supported between a closed position and an open position by a pivotally supporting member 78, and the retaining surface 74 of the member is urged to the supporting surface 70 of a pedestal member 72 by a magnetic attraction force. In this case, the member 78 has an upper edge 116 formed in a protruding bow shape upward. The edge 116 is contacted with the lower surface of the member 76 to define the pivotal axis of the member. The pivotal axis is moved to be separated from the retaining surface 74 and approached to a part 82 to be driven as the member is pivotally driven from the closed position to the open position.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
