According to the invention, the pacemaker is characterized by: - a sensor of the contraction of at least one of the ventricles, in order to detect a time of the beginning of the valvular orifice; - means for the search for optimum configuration, to commutate successively and automatically the ventricular electrode according to various possible configurations, and to detect an instant of depolarization or stimulation on the electrode in the corresponding configuration, to determine the time interval separating, for a given configuration, the time of depolarization or stimulation and the beginning of opening valve, and selecting the configuration providing the time interval, the shorter, and - means for applying a stimulation on the electrode in the configuration selected by means of the search.
