The box cover is constituted from a peripheral ring (7) on which are fixed a cardboard disc (5), serving as a double bottom, and a convex top (2) formed from a second cardboard disc. The ring is coated with a glued paper band. The bottom of the box is formed from a cylindrical ring (9) of white wrapping paper. A cardboard disc (10) serves as a double bottom and a cardboard base (4) juts out around the ring. Independent claims are included for method of making boxes and an automatic assembly machine.
