The invention concerns a method comprising steps which consist for each content (Csbn/sb, Csbn+1/sb), in transmitting (40) data units carrying said content (Csbn/sb, Csbn+1/sb) from the source (S), through a computer network, and in marking (40b) the data units to be broadcast, by modifying the marking of the data units of successive contents separated by a single transition; in supplying to the receiver terminals (T) marking data enabling them to distinguish the data units belonging to different contents (Csbn/sb, Csbn+1/sb), using the marking so as to locate each transition between two successive contents (Csbn/sb, Csbn+1/sb).
