The cup (16) has a rotating body with a ring (34) closing partially end section of a peripheral wall (32) of the body and delimiting a passage (36) for particles. The ring has channels extending radially outwards towards the peripheral wall of the body. Channels generate air flow towards particles collecting medium through the passage, when body is rotated in its case. An independent claim is also included for the handheld sampling device for sampling aerosol particles.
