Production of a photovoltaic module incorporating photovoltaic cells (1) with positive and negative poles arranged on the same side, the cells being arranged side by side between two glass substrates (2, 3) and connected in series, comprises: (a) assembling the cells; (b) depositing, on an internal surface of only one of the glass substrates (3), of strips of silver paste (5) constituting the interconnection conductors; (c) the putting in place of a sealing joint (4) of a mineral material between the two glass substrates to delimit a sealed inner volume inside which all the cells are contained. An independent claim is also included for a photovoltaic module produced by this method.
