The method involves inputting users bio-graphical data after validating the identification of the user using a management unit in an interactive multimedia terminal (BO). The user is authenticated using an authentication unit in a form of a chip card reader (LC). The terminal has a web cam (WC) that captures image of the user found in front of the terminal, and a scanner (SC) for scanning a paper document. An independent claim is also included for an interactive terminal.
