The receiver has a control unit (DMM) that controls a finger, at the time of successive intervals to successively multiplex the access to a memory, during each interval, for retrieving a symbol of each active channel. The sequence of reading access is identical to the sequence of writing access and each read symbol corresponds to a written symbol, where the read symbol is delayed by a preset delay (TS). An independent claim is also included for a method of delaying the symbols treated by a rake receiver.
