The envelope (12) has T-shaped cuts at its edge. Bar of the cuts is parallel to a fulcrum pin whose farthest side is lightly bulged, and a rod opens near the fulcrum pin. The cuts with non-uniform spacing, and circular and elongated spacing holes permit the use of the envelope in an opened ring type sheet protector. The distance separating the center of two cuts is either equal to 3 centimeter or 6 centimeter. An independent claim is also included for a sheet protector comprising an envelope.
