The garment such as a skirt, shorts or pants designed to cover the lower body of a handicapped person, at least from the waist down, has two long shoulder straps (1) to make it easier to pull on and take off, and a waistband (3) with self-adhesive fastenings. The sides of the garment have pockets (9) to receive pads (10) that protect the hips from impacts, while another pocket (5) can hold a urine pouch. A lengthwise opening is closed by a sliding clasp fastener (4).
