The device has a trapeze constituted of two vertical ropes suspended from a beam. A horizontal gripping bar (5) is placed between the two ropes that are between the beam (1) and a lower bar (2). The bar (5) has two lateral arms (6, 7), each fixed to two fixing points (8a, 8b, 8a, 8b) of each rope. The arms are angled between the points and the bar (5) such that the bar (5) is placed in front of the trapeze plane.
