Shelter for protecting fruit trees in cool climates is made from polycarbonate panels over treated timber poles

Shelter, made from opaque polycarbonate panels (5) 10mm thick and 3m high by 1m wide, fastened to frame made from treated timber poles (1-4) 80 and 12omm in diameter and 3.5 and 5m long. The resulting shelter forms tunnel 1.5m wide and 3m high that protects trees e.g. peaches, apricots, plums, or grape vines from frosts during flowering season. The roof panels (6) can be hinged, and air intakes made to control entry of insects.
