Production of microparticles by coacervation comprises adding a solution of an active ingredient (I) to a solution of a biodegradable encapsulating polymer (II) to form a mixture in which (I) precipitates, adding a nonsolvent for (I) and (II), adding a hardener, and filtering and drying the microparticles.
