The module (1) has female connector sockets and two vampire tapped coupling units. Each coupling unit receives an end of cables (2, 2') which electrically connects two modules to constitute a safety chain. Sensors are connected to the module by engaging male sockets (3A-3D) of the sensors with the female sockets. The female sockets are interconnected in series between the coupling units to place the sensors in series.
