The process involves branching, in case of failure, circuit-breakers with semi-conductor of a partial defective converter during a short duration for the circuit breakers to be permanently busy. On state is obtained by increasing gate-emitter voltage of the circuit-breakers, and by rapidly connecting the circuit breakers. The circuit breakers disconnect for a high current.
