Preparation of a dilute solution of chlorine dioxide ready for use, by reaction of sodium chlorite with an acid in a specified apparatus

The preparation is carried out by reacting sodium chlorite and an acid (alone or mixed with bleach fluid) until the reaction is completed, then continual withdrawal of the concentrated chlorine dioxide from the reactor and dilution in water in a separate vessel, the diluted solution being re-injected in the reactor; the cycle is repeated until the required chlorine dioxide concentration is obtained in both the reactor and the vessel. An INDEPENDENT claim is also included for the apparatus used in the process.
