The system has a photo-sensitive reception unit (1) with a detection unit e.g. photosensitive sensor, for detecting high/low light intensity variations in an environment illuminated by an artificial light source and in dark environment. An interpretation unit activates a control unit (2) depending on the characteristics of light signal formed by variations selected by a selection unit to effectuate predetermined actions. The variations are caused by movements of obstacles between the source and the unit (1) and due to direct action of a user on a control unit of the source.
