The method involves transmitting a request message for transmission of information, where the message has an address and an identification code to an original site. A transmission access offering message having another address is transmitted to a workstation. Information to be transmitted is transferred between the addresses. The information is transmitted to a distinct site of the station. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a system for transmitting wide multicast information (b) a mobile workstation for implementing a method of transmitting wide multicast information (c) a software product recorded on a storage medium for implementing a method of transmitting wide multicast information.
