The procedure comprises cornice sections (2) and preparing the facade surface, cutting sections from a polystyrene block, and applying a resin coating. The sections are then mounted on the facade by pre-fixed metal fastenings (3) spaced at regular intervals, and bonded with an adhesive. Seals (60a) are applied between the edges of the cornice sections and the facade before the application of a second coating of resin with a granular surface. The procedure consists of designing the cornice sections (2) and preparing the facade surface (1) to which they are to be applied, cutting the sections from polystyrene blocks and applying a resin coating (25) to all exposed surfaces. The sections are then mounted on the facade by pre-fixed metal fastenings (3) spaced at regular intervals and an adhesive, and supported while the adhesive is polymerised. Finally, seals (60a) are applied between the edges of the cornice sections and the facade before the application of a second coating of resin with a granular surface to match that of the facade.
