The device has a fuel tank carpet (201) with a zip type fastener (211) fixing an apron (202) to protect a person sitting on a motorcycle from the severity of the climate. The fastener extends from a lower part (214) of a right front edge (212) of a carpet. The apron has a zip type fastener (218) complementary to the fastener (211). An opening of the carpet permits to access a tank cap when the carpet is placed on the tank.
