The process involves fixing an electric actuator (5) to a case (2) by an articulation hinge (9) in a manner to constitute an assembly with the case and an access hatch (3). The assembly is introduced, from outside a vehicle, in a body (1) to which the case is fixed by a lock mechanism. The actuator is manually tilted around the hinge to a position integral to the case to disengage the actuator from a filling opening of the case. An independent claim is also included for a case mounted in a body of a motor vehicle for permitting the filling of fuel from a fuel tank of the vehicle.
