The oven for shrinking a film wrapping (14) round batches of products (12) contains vertical grilles or mesh screens (42) to reduce the intensity of the hot air flow delivered towards the ends of the batches that are not covered by the film material. The oven itself is in the form of a tunnel (24) with a conveyor (26) to transport the wrapped batches through it, and outlets in its side walls for air flows (38) propelled by a fan (30) through heaters (32).
