The table has two leg assemblies (110, 110), and two longitudinal side rails (140, 140) mounted on the leg assemblies for supporting breeding pockets (E) that contain shells. Each leg assembly includes two leg posts (112, 114) combined at one of their free ends by a lower rail (116) resting on ground. The longitudinal side rails are mounted respectively on other free ends of the posts. An independent claim is also included for a method of breeding shells.
