The sensor has a wound conducting wire (2) covered by a triangular flat metallic unit (3). Another flat metallic unit (4) extends transversally with respect to length of a support (1) by covering the unit (3). An electrical circuit supplies alternating current to the wire (2) and detects variation of inductance or impedance of the wire according to position of the metallic unit (3) with respect to the length of the support.
