The strainer has two suction inlets (20, 22) placed respectively in two opposite portions (24, 26) of oil pan (10). A longitudinal blocking chamber (28) is connected to the inlets by two opposite longitudinal openings (30, 32). Each opening connects the inlets that are situated in a direction opposite to the other opening. An inertial blocking unit (38) blocks one opening with respect to the opposite opening.
