The device has a body (2) with an inner surface (11) complementary to a flywheel (30) of a gas bottle valve. A plate (3) rotates the body around an axis. The body stops rotation, and the plate comes in contact with an on-off switch, under a deformation effect, when a torque, preset by a manufacturer of the bottle, is applied to the flywheel. The switch then closes a cell, and a siren delivers a signal for releasing the plate.
