The milking parlour, comprising an entry corridor (6) leading to a series of stalls (5) with swing doors (11) that open in sequence, has the access to an exit corridor (7) controlled by a vertically sliding panel (18) with automatic feeders (32). On completion of milking the panel is raised on a fixed frame (24, 25) to let one group of animals out so they can be replaced by another.
