The method involves selecting a rod that has calibrated length and diameter and is made of metallic alloy or plastic material. Two fixation tabs are selected to fix the rod on straps (8a, 8b, 8c) of a conveyor belt (7). The fixation tabs are connected to two ends of the rod by welding so as to obtain a bar (13), which extends between the straps. An independent claim is also included for a conveyer belt for harvesting machine.
